Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, and entry and exit protocols at a government location.
  • Monitor entrances, credentialing activity, and visitor logs to help support authorized access and report unusual or unauthorized activity to site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and applicable emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, access issues, and/or conditions that may require documentation or follow-up.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and access control-related events in required reports, logs, and/or electronic systems according to site policies and Allied Universal guidelines.
