About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Warehouse in Beltsville, Maryland, you will safeguard a logistics and distribution location by helping manage site entry, verifying credentials, monitoring access points, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, drivers, and deliveries. The role is part-time, scheduled Thursday and Friday from 2:30 AM to 11:30 AM, at a pay rate of $17.46 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out access control procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain accurate visitor, driver, and delivery records in accordance with site requirements.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; escalate matters to appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, trailer yards, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report security-related conditions, unusual activity, and policy violations while communicating professionally with site personnel and visitors.
