About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Access Control in Denver, Colorado. The officer will serve and safeguard clients, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas while maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents and support a welcoming environment. Duties include responding to alarms, assisting with access control and badge procedures, communicating professionally with visitors and staff, and reporting security-related concerns. The role involves carrying out site-specific security procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The position pays $22.55 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday and Monday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Additional shifts may be available through Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies to provide customer service to clients.
Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents.
Respond to alarms and assist with access control and badge procedures.
Communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and report security-related concerns.
