About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Access Control in Kettleman City, California, serving a logistics and distribution location. The role helps manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and provide a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Officers use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The position is scheduled Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM and pays $18.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by following site-specific access control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Monitor and control entry and exit points, verifying authorized access for employees, contractors, visitors, and commercial vehicles.
Screen visitors and delivery personnel, maintain accurate access-related records, and communicate access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Respond calmly and in a problem-solving manner to incidents, access-related alarms, and critical situations while following established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
