About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned warehouse site in Bohemia, New York. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may provide an opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale back. The listed schedule is Tuesday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Pay is $19.07 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor entry requirements, and maintain accurate security logs and reports.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established site protocols.
• Communicate observations and incidents to site leadership, emergency responders, or Allied Universal management as appropriate.
