About The Position

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming presence. This is a driving post, with responsibilities that may include routine mobile patrols and customer service. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture, you will help support daily operations and help deter security-related incidents.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and/or credential checks to help support authorized access for employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors entering or leaving the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
• Document security-related activities, access events, and/or incident details in required logs and reports while following post orders and customer instructions.
