About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Letart, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location as a driving Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials and permissions, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
  • Assist with controlling entry to restricted areas, support badge and key control processes, and report maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues through appropriate channels.
