Requirements

  • You have a degree or diploma and two years of security clearance administration experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience, is considered an asset.
  • Experience working as a Security Officer, registered with PSPC is considered an asset.
  • ASIS certification is considered an asset.
  • You work positively within a team to achieve a common goal of completion of the project.
  • You must have Secret Clearance through CISD (PWSGC).

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to obtain an ASIS CSP or PSP Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain appropriate clearance through Public Services and Procurement Canada(PSPC), Contract Security Program (CSP).
  • Obtain/maintain ACSO role with PSPC where required.
  • Represent EllisDon (ED) as the Security Manager for the site.
  • Responsible to develop/document site security plan in conjunction with key stakeholders as appropriate(security orders), according to Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) contract security requirements, client requirements.
  • Responsible to negotiate any additional responsibilities as determined by site/ client as needed.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the site security plan.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Responsible to chair and minute security meetings.
  • Responsible for the management of sensitive/protected/classified assets.
  • Responsible for the oversight to review, manage, document, and mitigate risk of incidents/breaches.
  • Responsible for continuous monitoring to mitigate risk of incidents/breaches at site(s).
  • Responsible for investigations and report writing.
  • Responsible for continuous assessment of the need for support, tools, training at the site.
  • Responsible for building a security culture on site.
  • Plan emergency security responses and emergency coverage.
  • Responsible for support and oversight of Security Coordinator(s).
  • Risk assessment approach for security management on site.
