About The Position

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a full-time Loss Prevention Officer. The company is an integrated security solutions provider established in 1953, with more than 2,600 team members and 25 branch locations. The role involves preventing and responding to shoplifting incidents, documenting events, coordinating with local law enforcement, and providing courtroom testimony when required.

Requirements

• Complete a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3–4 hours at a time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately verbally and in writing.
• Ability to write legible, accurate, and easily understood reports.
• Must be assertive yet controlled when dealing with confrontation.
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision.
• Must attend scheduled shifts; tardiness and absenteeism are not tolerated.
• High school diploma or equivalent, at minimum.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience.
• Criminal Justice or related studies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of closed-circuit TV cameras.
• Write reports.
• Interact with local law enforcement as needed.
• Provide courtroom testimony as required.
