About The Position

Per Mar Security Services is hiring a full-time Loss Prevention Officer. The role involves identifying and apprehending shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of closed-circuit television cameras, writing reports, interacting with local law enforcement as needed, and providing courtroom testimony when required. The position requires working scheduled shifts, including first shift, second shift, and weekends.

Requirements

Complete a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3–4 hours at a time.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
Ability to communicate clearly and accurately verbally and in writing.
Ability to write legible, accurate, and easily understood reports.
Ability to be assertive yet controlled when dealing with confrontation.
Trustworthiness and ability to work with little or no direct supervision.
Attendance for scheduled shifts; tardiness and absenteeism are not tolerated.
High school diploma or equivalent, at minimum.

Nice To Haves

Previous loss prevention or law enforcement experience.
Criminal justice or related studies.
