About The Position

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a full-time Loss Prevention Officer. The position involves identifying and apprehending shoplifters through floor patrols and the use of closed-circuit television cameras. The officer writes reports, interacts with local law enforcement as needed, and provides courtroom testimony when required. The role requires reliable attendance, clear communication, and the ability to work with little or no direct supervision.

Requirements

• Pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3–4 hours at a time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately verbally and in writing.
• Ability to write legible, accurate, and easily understood reports.
• Must be assertive yet controlled when dealing with confrontation.
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision.
• Must attend scheduled shifts; tardiness and absenteeism are not tolerated.
• High school diploma or equivalent at minimum.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience.
• Criminal Justice or related studies.
