About The Position

Per Mar Security is seeking a full-time Loss Prevention Officer. The role involves identifying and apprehending shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of closed-circuit TV cameras, preparing reports, interacting with local law enforcement as needed, and providing courtroom testimony when required.

Applicants must complete a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. They must be able to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3–4 hours at a time, have reliable transportation, communicate proficiently in English, write clear and accurate reports, and handle confrontations assertively but in a controlled manner. The officer must be trustworthy, able to work with little or no direct supervision, and attend scheduled shifts; tardiness and absenteeism are not tolerated. A high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum education requirement. Previous loss prevention or law enforcement experience and criminal justice or related studies are preferred but not required.

Requirements
