About The Position

Harvard Protection Services is hiring a Security Hospitality/Concierge to provide professional, customer-focused security and life safety services for people and property. The role supports the company’s goal of delivering best-in-class security services and requires a visible, professional presence at the assigned facility or building. Duties may differ depending on the customer location. The position involves greeting and assisting customers, employees, visitors, tenants, and guests; monitoring the environment and access points; conducting patrols; following facility policies and emergency procedures; monitoring alarms and systems; and preparing reports as directed. The role pays $19.00 per hour and requires open availability.

Requirements

State- or municipality-mandated security officer licenses, as applicable.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Reliable means of communication and transportation.
A security guard license, or ability to obtain one within an acceptable period.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
Neat, professional appearance.
Computer skills and ability to operate and manage security and communication devices effectively.
Ability to write routine correspondence, including log entries and incident reports.

Nice To Haves

Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain a professional demeanor while assisting customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
Maintain a visible presence in the assigned facility or building.
Monitor the environment and detect suspicious or unsafe activity.
Become familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic and recognize customers, tenants, visitors, and guests.
Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, and guests professionally.
Answer questions and assist guests and employees in a supportive, customer-focused manner.
Answer phones professionally.
Permit authorized people to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.
Learn facility policies and procedures and enforce them within required limits.
Conduct required patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal meets customer requirements.
Follow established emergency action plans and procedures.
Monitor alarms and systems as required.
Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities as directed.
