About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Guard in Columbus, Ohio, at a food and beverage location. The role involves safeguarding the site, providing customer service, conducting patrols, monitoring access points and visitor activity, and responding professionally to security-related concerns. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required because this is a driving position.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, service requests, and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
