About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security guard for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Richmond, Virginia. The role involves safeguarding clients and creating a welcoming environment for employees and visitors through routine patrols, a visible security presence, customer service, and appropriate responses to security concerns. The position pays $19.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
A Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, perimeter, entrances, and other assigned areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery access according to site-specific procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts or emergency services as directed.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in required reports and logs.
