About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Guard for an aerospace and defense location in El Segundo, California. The role involves providing customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and supporting site-specific security procedures and emergency responses. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.63 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of business areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security concerns.
