About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Montgomery, Alabama, you will help safeguard clients and maintain a welcoming environment. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, respond to alarms and incidents, and document observations. The role includes customer service and professional communication with tenants, visitors, vendors, and employees. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
Monitor property access by observing entry and exit activity, verifying visitor authorization as directed, and interacting professionally with people on site.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
