About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Patrol Officer for a commercial real estate location in Houston, Texas. The role safeguards clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and reporting security-related concerns. It also involves providing customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment and carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.

The schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and exterior grounds to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation.
