Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Patrol Observation
About The Position
As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an automotive manufacturing and distribution location in Hawthorne, California, you will help safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role serves employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers, and follows security procedures and site-specific policies. It may involve appropriate emergency response activities. The stated schedule is Wednesday and Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM. The pay rate is $21.95 per hour. Allied Universal describes a collaborative, people-first workplace and offers access to additional shifts through its Claim a Shift platform.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver's license if assigned to a driving position.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations.
- Identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials and observing visitor and contractor activity.
- Document entries, exits, and deliveries according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required incident documentation.
- Provide directions, report maintenance or access-control concerns, and communicate clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
- Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
