About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol security guard for an assigned corporate technology location in Arlington, Virginia. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary as additional shifts are claimed, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The pay rate is $21.75 per hour. The listed shift is Sunday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

The role provides customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. The guard patrols corporate offices, common areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter; monitors access and visitor activity; responds to incidents; and documents security-related activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements if required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a corporate technology location while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of corporate offices, common areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual activity or security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and support established entry and escort procedures.
• Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in required reports and logs.
