About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Guard for an assigned food and beverage production site in Carthage, Mississippi. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The stated pay rate is $15.66 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to designated areas and verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed; report discrepancies or concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with site requirements.
