Security Guard Part Time Patrol Access Control
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard for patrol and access control at an assigned healthcare facility in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. The position provides a designated weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shift. The employee may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The posted schedule is Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. The pay rate is $16–$16.50 per hour. The role serves patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, monitoring access, patrolling the facility, responding to incidents and emergencies, and documenting and communicating security-related information.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with facility procedures, document observations, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate security-related information to site leadership, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management as needed.
