About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Security Officer for warehouse access control in Penns Grove, New Jersey. The officer will serve as the first line of protection for the facility, checking in employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers, keeping the site organized, and identifying potential threats. Duties span the guard desk and truck gate. A New Jersey SORA license is required.

The position offers three part-time schedule options: Tuesday and Friday, 7 AM–3 PM; Saturday and Sunday, 3 PM–11 AM; or Saturday and Sunday, 11 PM–7 AM. Each schedule totals 16 hours per week. The hourly wage is $18. GardaWorld provides a uniform at no cost and offers career growth opportunities. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process, including a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Communicate professionally and confidently with employees, visitors, and drivers.
• Demonstrate sharp attention to detail and exceptional concentration skills.
• Be comfortable using computers, logs, and access control systems.
• Hold a state security license if required; a New Jersey SORA license is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Control access to the facility and verify the identities of employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers.
• Check in and log trucks, trailers, and deliveries at the gate.
• Issue and track visitor badges and maintain accurate entry logs.
• Monitor CCTV and access control systems from the guard post.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to alarms, incidents, or potential threats.
• Report security system malfunctions or vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
