About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The role involves providing customer service while carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. The guard will respond calmly to incidents and critical situations and conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

This temporary position pays $20.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday mornings. Applicants must have a current California Guard Card with training certificates and a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record for more than one year. Employment is subject to background investigation and drug screening to the extent permitted by law.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Current California Guard Card with training certificates.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record for more than one year.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
