About The Position

As a part-time Access Control Security Officer at a food and beverage production location in Monmouth, Illinois, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide customer service to employees and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. The position is scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM and pays $18.91 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations, potentially before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and employees by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency-response activities.
Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation according to site requirements.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery logs; issue and recover access credentials as directed by site policy.
Respond calmly and constructively to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
