About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard - Exterior Building Patrol for a part-time position at an assigned site. The role provides a fixed weekly schedule and requires a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shift. Employees may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, potentially working up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $19.00 per hour. The stated schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The role involves customer service, following site security procedures and policies, responding to incidents, and patrolling the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Commit to the assigned site and weekly shift for six months.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with access control or badges.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conduct emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
