About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Flex Corporate Building Patrol in New York, NY. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts at other sites through the company’s scheduling platform. It is intended for part-time employment, with the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 per week and scale back when needed. The stated pay rate is $19.30 per hour. The listed shift is Monday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM.

The Security Guard provides customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients while following site procedures and responding to emergencies. The role includes unarmed patrols of commercial property, monitoring access and visitor activity, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting security and maintenance concerns.

Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or clients while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, report concerns promptly to appropriate personnel, and use a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout commercial property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific requirements, helping deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns through clear and timely reports.
