About The Position

As a Security Guard with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location in New York, NY, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff. The role supports a welcoming environment and requires professional communication, teamwork, and integrity. This is a full-time position scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, paying $19.06 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points, assist with visitor management, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response protocols.
Prepare accurate activity, incident, and maintenance-related observation reports and communicate concerns to appropriate site contacts.
