About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Guard for a commercial real estate location in Los Angeles, California. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff. The officer communicates professionally and helps support a welcoming environment.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.25 per hour. Applicants must have at least six months of security-related experience, be at least 18 years old for this unarmed role, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Customer service experience and a Guard Card or license are preferred. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, entrances, exterior grounds, and the perimeter.
• Identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assist with directions and access-related questions, and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established protocols, and contact emergency services or site management as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift.
