About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for patrol and alarm monitoring at an assigned technology and data infrastructure site in Aurora, Illinois. The position provides a designated weekly anchor schedule requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The role may offer opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. Pay is $24.00 per hour. The listed shifts are Tuesday and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

The Security Officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include unarmed patrols, access and visitor monitoring, responding to alarms and incidents, and preparing activity and incident documentation. Applicants are subject to applicable background investigations and drug screening as conditions of employment.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws as a condition of employment.
• Undergo drug screening to the extent permitted by law as a condition of employment.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience.
• CPR certification.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology and data infrastructure location.
• Carry out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and contractor entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, document observations, and communicate with appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs while following Allied Universal and client site procedures.
