About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed perimeter patrol driver for a busy retail location in San Diego, California. The role safeguards clients and supports a welcoming environment for customers and team members through visible patrols, customer service, and appropriate responses to security concerns. The position requires a valid driver’s license. Pay is $20.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued Security Professional license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, sales floor, exterior areas, parking lots, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities and follow site reporting procedures.
