About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard to safeguard clients across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The role involves providing customer service while carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, responding to incidents, and conducting regular and random patrols around a business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The position pays $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Have at least six months of security experience.
• For driving positions, have an Arizona driver’s license held for more than one year and a clean driving record.
• Hold a valid guard card or security officer license if required by Arizona DPS.
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods and conduct regular patrols.
• Be able to work outside in the elements.
• Have basic ability to use computers, radios, cameras, access-control systems, and incident-reporting software.
• Have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, or rotating shifts, as may be required.
• Submit to a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, visitor records, and other required documentation.
