About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed site patrol security guard in Corning, New York, serving a manufacturing and industrial location. The role involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supporting access control and alarm response. The officer provides customer service and clear communication while contributing to a team that acts with integrity. This is a part-time position scheduled Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.74 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local law; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to site leadership.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations in required reports and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
