About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security officer for a technology-focused location in Lockport, Illinois. The officer will safeguard clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, following site policies, and responding professionally to site needs and incidents. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, integrity, and helping create a welcoming environment. The stated schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations; notify site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures.
Maintain accurate logs and complete required incident documentation.
Communicate observations, operational concerns, and policy updates to site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
