About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol officer at a retail and mall location in Forest Park, Illinois, you will help safeguard clients and maintain a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. You will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security presence, provide customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to incidents and changing needs. The position pays $17.41 per hour and is scheduled Monday and Tuesday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and contractors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the retail property, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points, loading areas, and other designated locations; observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site-specific protocols, and document observations and actions taken.
Communicate clearly with property management, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
