About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol and access-monitoring Security Guard at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Fort Wayne, Indiana, you will help safeguard clients and provide a welcoming environment. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations; escalate information to appropriate site contacts or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
Monitor access points and support visitor and contractor entry processes according to site requirements.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and activities in clear, accurate reports.
