About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Guard for an assigned corporate technology office in Arlington, Virginia. The role provides a designated weekly shift as a dependable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shift. Employees may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, potentially building up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $21.75 per hour. The schedule is Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Alarm panel experience.
• CPR certification.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office floors, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the business perimeter, reporting unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and site access protocols.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and security concerns, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
