About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Durham, North Carolina. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a dynamic location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide customer service. The position is scheduled Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM and pays $18.54 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, as a condition of employment and in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting and reporting unusual conditions or activities.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor, employee, and vendor entry according to site-specific procedures.
Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately and promptly.
