About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Richmond, Virginia, you will safeguard a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide customer service and communication. The role involves following site-specific security procedures and policies, responding to incidents and emergencies, monitoring access points, and documenting observations and concerns.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established emergency response activities and escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter.
Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and access control points; verify credentials and direct individuals according to site requirements.
Accurately document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
