About The Position

As a Security Guard Cosmetic Warehouse Area Patrol in Melville, New York, you will serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding professionally to security-related concerns. The position is full-time and pays $23.50 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Possess supervisory experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and promptly report security-related concerns according to established procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident reports.
Help protect manufacturing operations, products, equipment, and controlled areas by following site policies and communicating observed concerns to appropriate personnel.
