Security Guard Part Time Patrol - Financial Company
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard for patrol work at a financial services location in New York, NY. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Additional hours may allow employees to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The position pays $17.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM. The guard provides customer service, follows site-specific security procedures, monitors access, documents visitor and incident activity, responds to alarms and incidents, and conducts unarmed patrols.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

- Experience with access control and badge systems.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation according to site policies.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Help maintain an orderly, professional environment by providing directions, supporting access control procedures, and communicating observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
