About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Guard with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a financial institution in New York, NY, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge processes, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. The role is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and pays $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Guard Card/License preferred.
Access control and badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor and contractor records in accordance with site requirements.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, trading-floor-adjacent areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications for Allied Universal and site leadership.
