About The Position

Planned Companies’ Planned Security Services division is hiring a friendly and professional Private Security Guard to support residential and commercial properties. The role provides routine patrols and safety checks, access control, surveillance monitoring, alarm response, and assistance to residents, guests, and vendors. The position is located in Woodland Park, New Jersey, with a Saturday and Sunday schedule from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The pay rate is $17.00.

Requirements

• New Jersey Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) license.
• Clean and valid driver’s license.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Security Officer or Guard.
• Knowledge of local, regional, and state legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Experience with Closed Circuit (CCTV) surveillance systems.
• Training in First Aid, Basic Life Saving (BLS), and self-defense.
• Strong report-writing and clear verbal communication skills.
• High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine security and safety patrols of properties and structures to maintain order and establish a security presence.
• Verify and track access credentials for residents, guests, vendors, and deliveries.
• Ensure exits, doors, and windows are secure and functioning.
• Monitor and track CCTV surveillance to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
• Respond to, investigate, and assess notifications, communications, and alarms.
• Provide security-related assistance and support to residents, guests, and vendors.
• Report uninvited guests, suspicious possessions, and unlawful acts to the proper authorities.
• Create and submit daily surveillance and incident reports to Planned Security Services management.
