About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring Security Officers for a temporary housing facility for underserved people in the Bronx. The Security Guard will help safeguard clients by following safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response procedures. The role also involves responding calmly to incidents and critical situations and conducting regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
