About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in New York, NY, you will safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, provide customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to concerns. The position is full-time and scheduled overnight on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Pay is $19.06 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, tenant concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations.
Maintain a professional presence and welcoming environment for occupants and visitors.
Communicate clearly with Allied Universal supervision, property personnel, and emergency responders as needed.
