About The Position
As a part-time Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location in Houston, Texas, you will help safeguard clients and customers by conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and responding professionally to situations as they arise. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, integrity, and reliable teamwork. Scheduled shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
- Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations; contact appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail sales areas, receiving locations, parking areas, and the perimeter.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership.
- Complete required reports and maintain accurate documentation of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
