About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Reston, Virginia, to serve and safeguard clients at an aerospace and defense location. This driving post combines security patrols, customer service, communication, and professional security-related support. The role helps maintain a secure environment for personnel and assets through routine patrols, a visible security presence, and response to incidents. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The pay rate is $29.59 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or at least 2 years of Security Supervisor/Manager experience, or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
Armed Guard Card/License.
Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
A Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, controlled-access areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions.
Communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and responding agencies as needed.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
