About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Windsor, NC, to support a government corrections location. The position involves conducting armed vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding professionally to situations. The role requires strong communication, sound judgment, and customer service.

Requirements

At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds, building exteriors, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations, following established procedures and contacting appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as assigned, and document patrols, incidents, and observations in required reports.
Maintain assigned armed equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and site-specific policies.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
