About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location in Houston, Texas. The role involves conducting armed vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel. The position requires a valid driver’s license and Texas Level III Armed Certification. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Pay is $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Texas Level III Armed Certification.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail location, parking areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter.
Monitor access points and observe customer, employee, and vendor activity; report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Complete accurate reports and maintain documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities.
