About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients. This role is based at a site in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and involves carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, responding to emergencies and incidents, and conducting patrols. All shifts are available, with workdays listed as Friday through Thursday. The position pays $18.00 per hour. The role requires applicants to be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license, and be comfortable using a computer or tablet. A resume is preferred but not required. State security-license training, uniforms, and training are provided at no cost.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Possess a valid driver's license and at least one year of driving experience.
• Have a clean driving record: no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than one accident in the last 24 months, and no more than one minor moving violation in the last 24 months.
• Maintain the minimum level of insurance required by company policy and be able to safely operate a vehicle.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Undergo a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen as conditions of employment.
• Meet any applicable state or local security-licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
